Thanks for all of your submissions for our first Photo Contest. It was a very difficult decision for us, but the votes for January's "Winter Wonderland" contest are in. The title of The Photo Center's Photographer of the Month goes to Anthony Tortoriello with his Winter Reflections photo, and runner-up is awareded to Ray Yeager with his Snowy Squirrel. We'd also like to bring attention to three beautiful honerable mentions. Eric Shonz's Winter Solitude, Jeff Schutte's Winter Shed, and Shawn Michael's Untitled photo.
How do you get involved? Each month, The Photo Center will present you with a new topic/category/theme to shoot. Your photo will be uploaded to our Facebook Fan-Page for all to see. At the end of each month, The Photo Center staff will get together and vote on our favorite submission. The winner of each month’s contest will receive a $50 gift certificate to the store and will be named on The Photo Center’s website (www.ThePhotoCenter.com) as “The Photo Center’s Photographer of The Month”.
To enter the contest, you must email an original photo with a title, to thephotocenter.contest@gmail.com. High-quality scans of non-digital photographs are acceptable. Digital photographs should be taken at the highest resolution possible. Photographs must be in a .jpeg, .jpg or .gif format. You may use image-editing software only to ENHANCE your photo, NOT to change the photo's composition.
The contest is free to enter, but you must be over 16 years of age. One entry per photographer, per month, please.
By entering the contest, you’re allowing The Photo Center to publish and display your photo in store and/or on The Photo Center’s website. Photographs will appear on the The Photo Center’s Facebook Fan Page. Any photograph reproduced will include a photographer credit. You retain the rights of your photo.
